Katie Gardella, Founder and President,

Prosper Fundraising Strategies is a full-service consulting firm specializing in annual campaigns, major gifts, board and staff development, and development planning. Katie Gardella founded the company in 2008. For over 25 years, Katie has dedicated her career to helping nonprofit organizations build capacity, train volunteers, and raise resources to fulfill their missions for the betterment of their communities.

Prior to forming Prosper Fundraising Strategies, Katie was Senior Consultant with MajorGiving.com, a fundraising consulting firm located in Winchester, VA. Her non-profit experience includes work as Major Gifts Director at KPLU Public Radio in Seattle, Washington, where under her leadership the station was awarded the Public Radio Development and Marketing Conference’s Major Giving Award. As Major Gifts Director at the Tacoma Art Museum in Tacoma, WA, Katie staffed the Leadership Giving Committee of the Capital Campaign, helping the committee to raise $6 million towards a total goal of $20 million. Before moving to Seattle, Katie worked on the development staffs of National Parks Conservation Association and the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, DC.

Katie has taught numerous fundraising sessions on major gift fundraising and development planning. She is an enthusiastic presenter and has spoken at local and national conferences including the Public Radio Marketing and Development Conference, the Association of Fund Raising Professionals – Northern New England Chapter annual conference and the New England Federation of Humane Societies annual conference. She is on the board of Monadnock United Way and the Hannah Grimes Center for Entrepreneurship. Previously she served on the allocations committee of the Monadnock United Way and chaired the development committee of Giving Monadnock.
